WTF....... Im sure thats what many of you are saying, but for the budget minded preparer, the antique shops and second hand shops are great places, some of the best things to have are time proven items, most common tools and household items from 1950 and before are great for emergencies, they where build to last and should not need electricity. I will list a few items I have thought of feel free to comment and tell us about other items or ideas.

Egg Beater

Wood Working tools

food grinder (grain, coffee, meat)

kitchen stoves ( wood or oil burning)

clothe washer (non electrical)
